Structure and construction as disciplines that evolve making of space, Structural systems as choice based on program, Space and form character

Abstract
This studio emphasizes upon fundamental principles of architectural design. A few basic design exercises are conducted before introducing the main project. These exercises give brief understanding for built form, architectural order, orientation, mass-void, light-shadow, services etc. Some exercises are based upon the study of works of modern master architects such as Kahn, Corbusier and Mies.

This project focuses upon the Transparency as aesthetics in design. Its concept is based upon Core and Periphery. All the programmatic functions placed on the periphery of the building are connected with the central services core. Peripheral building is made out of steel and glass while services core is articulated out of concrete.
